Каждый фильм этого цикла действительно о забытых, а порой и неизвестных, скрытых строжайшими секретами победах. Великих победах наших ученых, инженеров, конструкторов, о которых важно знать всем нам, которыми нужно гордиться. Когда вышел первый фильм этого цикла о крылатой ракете "Буря", как две капли воды похожей на нынешний американский "Шаттл" и успешно испытанной на 20 лет раньше "Шаттла", больше всего были потрясены американцы. Они понятия не имели, что еще в 1957 году мы смогли сделать такое. В год первого спутника! Таких историй в цикле много. Ибо в основе многих сюжетов лежат материалы некогда секретных съемок испытаний военной техники. Все это публиковалось впервые. Так же как впервые рассказывалось о выдающихся ученых и конструкторах - создателях этой техники. От ракет до подводных лодок, от фантастических летательных аппаратов по разным причинам (особенно из-за дороговизны, но чаще из-за конкурентных интриг) не пошедших в серию, не ставших на вооружение армии, до тех прославленных машин, которые и сегодня по всем параметрам превосходят любые зарубежные аналоги. Некоторые фильмы цикла посвящены выдающимся полководцам, одержавшим решающие, но тоже уже забытые победы во второй мировой войне, испытателям летательных аппаратов, строителям подводного атомного флота, великим ученым России... В 2002 годы "Тайны забытых побед" были отмечены премией "Лавр" как лучший документальный сериал, а в 2003 году фильм "Звезда Северина" получил приз на 6-м Европейском телефоруме ...

BMS 2010 "Dominoes Around the World" - 22000 Dominoes

Like me on Facebook! www.facebook.com On July 9-10, Shanesdominoez, Petmagnetetal, and Mmcodomino all got together and set-up over 22000 dominoes with the theme "Dominoes Around the World" The main idea was to set-up 3000-4000 dominoes for each continent (setting up landmarks and famous locations) then connect them all together. Here is what was set-up for each continent (in fall order) Misc. A map showing the path we followed while going through the continents North America - Mt. Rushmore, "Hollywood" sign, Grand Canyon. South America - Christ the Redeemer, Frog field. Africa - Zebra field, Tree. Europe - "I forgot", Greek Temple, Leaning tower of Pisa. Pendulum Asia - Great Wall of China, Mt. Everest, Stone Forest Australia - Sydney Opera House, Bridge, Fireworks Antarctica - Ocean/Penguins. BMS Field, Balloons and Turntable. 2011 Formula Drift Round 1 - JTP Dominates Long Beach

Team Falken started the 2011 Formula Drift season the way it finished last year, with one of its factory drivers on top of the podium. Justin Pawlak, in just his second year with the tire manufacturer, took his inaugural first place at the Long Beach opening round, with Team Falken teammate Daijiro ("Dai") Yoshihara in third. Before a capacity crowd, Pawlak took the victory on board his 2011 Ford Mustang with a new engine built by Ford Racing and Roush-Yates and ran on Falken's Azenis RT615K, as did all other Falken team members. Pawlak qualified 11th, while Yoshihara was second among the top 32, alerting the other competitors he was the driver to beat on the streets of Long Beach. While Defending Formula D Champion Vaughn Gittin, Jr., struggled in qualifying, he was an important part of the weekend, meeting and greeting his fans as well as supporting the rest of the Falken team in the main event. Among the Falken "inter-team competition," Pawlak beat Darren McNamara in the top 16 round, and Justin went on to best Dai in the Top 4, completing a "One More Time." Justin beat Matt Powers in the final, while Dai defeated 2009 Formula D Champion Chris Forsberg to earn third. "Justin earned this win through timing and endurance," declared Jonathan Bradford, Team Falken's Formula Drift manager.
