Sheetzs/G&R Excavating took apx 6 weeks to cruelly, pillage, rape, mutilate, kill, murder, destroy, eradication, extermination, destruction of The Ole Dame The Canoe Place Inn aka the Taber Mansion Which had stood for 150 years as the Town of Port Allegany was founded and grew up building around it. Sadly in the end the Town of Port Allegany turned its back and spit upon it casting it to a Ultimate gruesome death as truck full of carcasses were hauled to the Landfill. I was told as it was being torn down you could smell the history and hear screams/horrific sounds come from it. Port Allegany decided to turn in a declining bland commercial town unlike historic/beautiful towns of Smethport/Coudersport which cherished its beloved history. |
