Project Bolo's objective is to record Indian LGBT history, as well as inspire and empower the LGBT community in India, by presenting video interviews of LGBT persons and role models, who 'speak up' about their life and work. As India's most visible and controversial Hijra (transgender), she has balanced working for the community at the grassroots as an activist with using her glamorous celebrity image to push the envelope right up to an UN task force meeting.
