| Am dus cutia de viteze a lui "Ivan" la Nea' Victor, în Valu lui Traian, pentru o reparaţie capitală. Sărea din treapta a doua ori de câte ori trăgeam niţel de acceleraţie, mai ales cu ataşul montat. Atât axul primar cât şi secundarul aveau joc axial mare în lagărele lor. Problema a fost remediată cu o serie de laine (şaibe calibrate). Am găsit amortizorul de revenire a pedalei-demaror rupt din prinderi. Tăbliţa şi amortizorul de cauciuc (cu tot cu prinderi) pluteau liber în mâzga uleioasă din carcasă, putând intra oricând printre pinioane. Au fost înlocuite toate garniturile. Tăbliţa pentru martorul de punct mort era, de asemenea, ruptă. Nea' Victor a refăcut-o dintr-o tolă de transformator. Aştept cu nerăbdare să montez cutia de viteze pe motocicletă şi să-i fac proba de drum :). --- Took my Dnepr MT-10's gearbox to a friend and motorcycle enthusiast near the seaside for a complete overhaul. The biggest problem was that it popped out of 2nd whenever under a greater load - not to mention while pulling the sidecar. Both main and layshafts had a motherload of axial play. Sorted that out with a bunch of shims. The kick-starter's buffer had been ripped out of its fastenings and was now floating freely in that thick mud (not oil!) that filled the gearbox. Could've went through the gears at any given time, thankfully it didn't happen. My friend also replaced all the seals. The small contact plate for the "neutral" indicator was also broken.
