Vassili Zaitsev funeral at Volgograd - Stalingrad pt:2

Captain Vassili Grigorevich Zaitsev (Russian: Василий Григорьевич Зайцев) (March 23, 1915December 15, 1991) was a Soviet sniper during World War II, notable particularly for his activities between October 1942 and and January 1943 during the Battle of Stalingrad. He killed 242 soldiers and officers of the Wehrmacht and other Axis armies, including 11 enemy snipers, but the real number may be much higher,some argue it might have been as many as 500. Prior to November 10, he had already killed 40 Axis soldiers with the standard-issue Mosin-Nagant rifle. His military rank at the time was Junior Lieutenant. Zaitsev was born in Yeleninskoye and grew up in the Ural Mountains. His surname Zaitsev has the same root as the word "hare" (zayats) in Russian. Before going to Stalingrad, he served in the Russian Navy as a clerk but upon reading about the brutality of the fighting in Stalingrad, he volunteered for front-line duty. Zaitsev served in the 1047th Rifle Regiment of the 284th Rifle Division of the 62nd Army. He is notable for having participated in the Battle of Stalingrad. There, Zaitsev set up a snipers' training school in the Metiz factory; it was run by Zaytsev. The snipers Zaytsev trained were nicknamed zaichata, meaning "leverets" (baby hares). Antony Beevor wrote in Stalingrad that this was the start of the "sniper movement" in the 62nd Army. The Beginning of Fire in Tamboles Village in Russia (Scary) (With Subtitles)

WATCH AFTER 0.36 I think I should have written the explanation for the vid, so it's my fault. Those guys volonteered to help villagers fight the upcomming fire. Half an hour before the footage was taken, they safely used the road, which in the video, as you can see, is on fire, to come to the village in the first place. When they understood that nothing can be done in the village and everything will eventually burn, they've decided to drive away asap. But to their surprise the fire got to the road first. Now the reason why they wanted to go back is that there are two roads to the Tamboles village. the one they used in the video (the shortest one) and circumurban road (the longest) due to the fact they wanted to get away asap they've chosen the shortest. Car - Mitsubishi Outlander XL 2007 year. Camera - Canon 5D Mark II + 24-105 I hope that answers all questions.

Show trials, executions, forced settlement of hundreds of thousands, imprisonment, harassment, forced industrial development, a drop in living standards, and Stalinist dictatorship followed. The REVOLUTION of '56 was an answer to all this tyranny. After my Father was relised from prison, no one would employ him dispite his education. Me 109 found in Russian lake.

This Bf 109 was built in 1939. it was known to have flown in battle of France and the battle of Britain as an E1. After upgrade to an E7 it was delivered to the eastern front where it was flown by the highly decorated German pilot Wulf- Dietrich Widowitz. He was shot down by a Hurricane whilst on an escort mission in 1942.He made a near perfect, forced, wheels-up landing on the ice of a frozen lake. The plane sank through the ice an came to rest on the lake-bed. Widowitz died more than a year later in another crash landing. It remaind untouched until its recovery in 2003.
