| participants: Prof Richard Dawkins Bishop Michael Nazir-Ali Ruth Gledhill, Religious Affairs Editor, The Times Newsnight anchor: Gavin Esler This discussion results from recent articles in national newspapers by Sayeeda Warsi, the co-chairman of the UK Conservative Party, and a tax-payer-funded visit by her to the Vatican. She trended all day on twitter (London), with the overwhelming majority of tweeters expressing very strong opposition to her views. She might just find that her strategy backfires. |
