Search the internet for "17x17x17" to find more information about this unique puzzle. This video shows Oskar partly disassembling the puzzle to provide a look at the inside. The puzzle is built around a spherical core. There are 6 centers, 12 edges and 8 corners (like in a normal Rubik's Cube) with skyscraper-like structures built on them. All the other pieces hang between those skyscraper, floating over the spherical core. The long ends of these pieces are the "floating anchors" that keep the pieces straight up. Here is the link to the Guinness World Record: www.guinnessworldrecords.com Thispuzzle was 3D-printed using nylon-powder SLS technology, which explains its price. It is the very first prototype, costing its designer and maker a lot of money to create. Please do not confuse it for a cheap mass-produced puzzle. |
