David Horowitz on the "Israeli-Palestinian Conflict: Myths and Facts" (Brooklyn College)

(audio repaired ) On March 10, 2011, David Horowitz spoke at Brooklyn College. Yosef Sobol, a brave undergrad at Brooklyn College, invited Horowitz to speak on the "Israeli-Palestinian Conflict : Myths and Facts". This event was nearly aborted by a lack of support from the Jewish organizations and faculty at Brooklyn College that was intended to coincide with the annual Hate-Jews Week (aka " Israel-Apartheid Week ) Horowitz was invited to present the other side of the story thereby giving the students an opportunity to think for themselves. Cries of racist by the usual anarchists, who hoped to shut down free-speech, required extra security but their protest came off with a whimper instead of a bang. Other than a few rude outbursts during the 90 minute presentation, it all went fairly smoothly. There was a predictable melt-down that brought the Q and A to an end but even so, David Horowitz, Yosef Sobol (the student leader who invited Horowitz to speak)) and Mitchell Langbert ( the faculty advisor whose presence made the event possible) succeeded in chipping away at the Palestinian Myths and Lies put forth as "Facts". Based on their reactions, the anarchists left committed to their ignorant delusions.Think for themselves? Nope. Not interested. Videographer: Pamela Hall -VSB

However, despite the frantic and desparate moves by the elites to slander this movement, despite their vain efforts to curtail and skew our image, we have shattered through ther lies. Another Night of Violence in Bahrain Ahead of F1

04/21/2012 Police in Bahrain have fired tear gas on protesters as they responded with petrol bombs ahead of the Gulf state's Formula One Grand Prix. Up to 150 protesters were reported to be facing off against 50 police in jeeps during the violence in a Shiite district outside Manama. "Protesters were at a roundabout in Diraz and police tried to move them by firing tear gas. They started throwing petrol bombs back at them," a witness told Reuters. The fresh clashes came after an anti-government protester was found dead after violence overnight ahead of Sunday's grand prix, according to the opposition party Wefaq. Wefaq said the body of Salah Abbas Habib, 37, was found on the roof of a building in the village of Shakhoura. It claimed Mr Habib was part of a group who were chased and "brutally" beaten by police during the clashes, late on Friday night. Wefaq, the leading party among Bahrain's majority Shi'ite Muslim population, published a photograph of Habib's body on a corrugated iron rooftop. In a statement on social networking website Twitter, the interior ministry confirmed a body had been discovered in Shakhura, adding: "Police have begun an investigation." British Foreign Secretary William Hague later took to Twitter. He said he had spoken to the Bahraini foreign minister and urged restraint to the protests and dialogue with the opposition.
