| Helping you understand the absolute basics of conditioner-washing your hair. Use the cheapest conditioners you can find - like Suave, V05, or White Rain at $1 a bottle. Try to avoid proteins & silicones for the first couple of weeks to get your head adjusted to the new routine. Then feel free to add them in, if you think you need to. Proteins can give your hair more strength, silicones can give you more shine & manageability. But they don't work well for all hair types. Use conditioner same as you would your shampoo - apply & massage into your scalp, just make sure you to give your head a REALLY good scalp massage!!! Don't forget to use shampoo occasionally, as needed, to help remove any excess build-up of conditioner, silicone, protein, etc. Use different products until you find ones that work best for your hair type. Not everyone will like the same things, since we all have different hair (light, fluffy, medium, thick, course, straight, curly, etc) |
