A day in the life of Kiel, in miniature by René Raab. Smalltown Kiel is a movie about the city Kiel in northern Germany. It shows a day in the life of the city by miniaturization via Tilt-Shift Effect. No Tilt-Shift lens was used, the effect is pure postproduction in Adobe After Effects. It was shot with a Canon 60D. Smalltown Kiel ist ein Film über die Stadt Kiel, der einen Tag bzw. fast ein Jahr, im Leben der Stadt zeigt und diese dabei miniaturisiert. Dabei findet der sogenannte Tilt-Shift-Effekt Anwendung, der normale Bilder wirken lässt als seien es Bilder von kleinen Modellbauten. Der Effekt ist rein digital und per Nachbearbeitung in Adobe After Effects enstanden. Ein echtes Tilt-Shift-Objektiv stand leider nicht zur Verfügung. Gefilmt und fotografiert wurden alle Bilder mit einer Canon 60D. Bearbeitet mit Photoshop CS5. Fotografien sind nicht von mir... es sind ergooglete Bilder. Ich habe die drei hochgeladen, um zu zeigen, dass die verschiedenen Ebenen eines Bildes auch jeweils den selben Schärfegrad aufweisen sollten. In Bad Homburg ist zB die gesamte Kirche gut zu sehen. Hier habe ich die Maske so bearbeitet, dass der Tiefenschäfenfilter nicht auf die Türme wirkt.
