He is one of the only 2 players to ever get 4 Defensive Player of the Year awards.The other one being Ben Wallace. Being drafted as the 4th pick in the 1991 Draft,The eight-time All-star played 18 seasons,with 6 different teams, such as Denver Nuggets,Atlanta Hawks,Philadephia 76ers,New Jersey Nets,New York Knicks and the Houston Rockets. He is also 2nd in all-time blocks,surpassing Kareem Abdul Jabbar and only behind Hakeem Olajuwon. He have a career averaging a double-double, with 10 points,10 rebounds and 2.7 blocks. He ended his career in the playoffs of 2009 by a knee injury. Dikembe Mutombo will always be remembered as a humanitarian and also one of the best-if not the best shot blocker ever to play the game.
