A place where you cook food, where you have breakfast ans dinner -- a DINING ROOM and a KITCHEN. A place where you go to sleep -- a BEDROOM. A place where you wash yourself -- a BATHROOM. And finally a TOILET! What is there? In a Living Room sofa -- a soft, comfortable seat with raised arms and a back, that is wide; coffee table -- a low table in a living room on which you put cups, newspapers etc.; TV -- a piece of electronic equipment with screen, on which you can watch programs (= television) What is there in the Kitchen? a cooker (am. a stove) -- a large piece of kitchen equipment that is used for cooking on it. It can be a gas cooker or an electric cooker. The American word is stove; oven -- a large piece of equipment in a kitchen that you heat, usually with electricity or gas, to cook food in. An oven often has a grill in it; saucepan -- a deep round metal container with a handle that is used for cooking; cooker hood -- a piece of equipment above a cooker that takes away steam and unpleasant smells; sink -- a large open container that you fill with water and use for washing dishes etc.; tap -- an object used for controlling how much water comes out ... |
