Cold Fear is a third-person survival horror video game designed by Darkworks and published by Ubisoft. It was released on April 29, 2005, in Europe. In Cold Fear the player takes on the role of Tom Hansen, a former soldier now in the employ of the United States Coast Guard who has been sent in to investigate a mysterious Russian whaler Eastern Spirit in the middle of the Bering strait. The beginning cut-scenes show a SEAL team under the orders of a CIA agent, identifying the ship and trying to discover its cargo. Unfortunately, the SEAL squad is slaughtered mercilessly by an unknown threat. CIA agent Bennett then orders any government vessel in the vicinity of the Russian boat to investigate, and it is Hansen's ship which responds. As Hansen, the player finds out that the boat is occupied by hostile Russian soldiers and by strange creatures, known as "exocels", that use humans and other life forms as hosts, to feed on and to use as protection from the environment. These parasites are a threat to Hansen from inside and outside their host bodies. His investigation leads to the mystery of the ship and its lethal cargo, as well as the unethical experiments which were being carried out aboard the ship.

Human Weapon [HQ] - Sambo: Russia's Extreme Fighting part 3/5

The Russian martial art of Sambo was developed in the first several decades of the 20th century, in the wake of the Bolshevik Revolution and the fall of the czarist regime. A martial arts training program within the Bolsheviks Red Army produced a new hand-to-hand combat system derived partly from traditional Russian and other native regional wrestling or grappling styles and influenced by various foreign martial arts, notably Judo and Jujitsu, as well as the traditional Olympic sports of boxing and Greco-Roman and freestyle wrestling. The new system was dubbed Sambo (sometimes written Sombo or SAMBO), which is an acronym of the Russian words Samozaschita Bez Orujiya, or self-defense without weapon. From the beginning, Sambo has been a constantly changing system, adapting itself to fit the needs of its fighters, from soldiers on the battlefields of World War II to crime fighters on the streets of Moscow. Today, Sambo is practiced in three distinct ways: as a competitive sport, as a self-defense method and as a lethal combat system employed by police and military forces. Sometimes incorrectly referred to as Russian Judo, Sambo was recognized as an official sport in 1938. It was included in the Olympic Games in Moscow in 1980 as a demonstration sport, though it failed to gain the popularity necessary to become a competitive event. As a self-defense method, Sambo is based on body movements and joint locks, combined with punches and kicks, all aimed at defending ones self ...

Khun Sa - Opium Warlord of the World

March 1994 - A profile of Khun Sa, the region's most powerful and autocratic drug warlord and his 20000-strong army. The American Drug Enforcement Agency says Khun Sa's army protects his drug interests, but Khun Sa says it's to continue his fight against the Burmese. He proclaimed independence for his Shan land from Burma in 1993. Ho Mong, Khun Sa's headquarters, is the size of a small city. A thousand new army recruits, all children, parade through a maze of well planned roads, houses, schools, temples and hospitals. The soldiers, often just nine years old, are press-ganged into service - many will never see their homes again. If they run away one of their family is executed. In 1977 Khun Sa promised to stop the opium trade in exchange for independence from Burma. To prove his innocence Khun Sa shows the pits in the ground where drug addicts are reformed. But the whole area, from growers to addicts, relies on the drug trade. In the Temple of the Last Chance Buddhist monks detoxify pathetic young Thai drug addicts by administering a herb drink makes them throw up. ( Journeyman Pictures

Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead - Takistan Army Deployed!

Learn more at arma2.com Buy now sprocketidea.com Second video from the planned series of updates presenting the factions in Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead is introducing the Takistani Army. Takistani Army is equipped with a mixture of Cold-War-era equipment of both Eastern and Western bloc origin, supplied during the interregnum of 1988-91. Local or supreme warlords command and control military manpower across local tribal forces. Several main factions control military vehicles and aircraft either stolen from or supplied by the Soviets; however, their numbers and capabilities are limited. Armed with FN FALs, AKS-74s rifles, PKMs and other personal weapons, soldiers usually wear distinct steel helmets and khaki or lizard-patterned uniforms; special military police forces also wear black turbans. The Takistan army chiefly employs Soviet Cold-War era vehicles: T-34, T-55 and T-72 tanks, BRDM-2 personnel carriers, UAZ cars and V3S trucks. Military vehicles are painted in irregular amorphous-shaped fields of desert yellow and dark green. The Takistani Air Force uses the Mi-24D helicopter gunships, L-39ZA light attack aircraft and Mi-8 transport helicopters. The close air support role is provided by type Su-25 aircraft. Special weapons regiments are known to exist, which can deploy a stockpile of SS-1c Scud-B missiles. It is also believed that secret weapons development programmes have sought to produce and procure chemical WMDs, as a result of Soviet-backed schemes aimed at ...

Любэ - давай за / Lube - Davai za

Клип на песню. Song about war from russian film "Specnaz". Here is translation into English: With grey clouds the sky is veiled Nerves tensed such as guitar strings Rain drumming from morning to night Frozen time seems an eternity We assualt from all directions Tanks, infnatry, artillery's fire They are killing us, but we're surviving And once again, we throw ourselves in an attack A toast to life, come on brother, until the end A toast to those, who were with us back then A toast to life, come on brother, until the end We'll remember those who were with us back then The sky above us, in leaden clouds Lies low in cold mists We'd like to believe that everything's over If only the wounded comrade could survive Wait up bro, don't die yet You will live long and happily We will dance at your wedding And you'll raise your kids up in the sky A toast to life, come on brother, until the end A toast to those who wait for you at home A toast to life, come on brother, until the end A toast to those who wait for you at home A toast to them, a toast to us To Siberia and to the Caucasus To the lights of far-away cities And to friends, and to love A toast to them, a toast to us And to the Paras, and to the Spetznas To war honors Come on, lets raise it, friend A toast to life, come on brother, until the end A toast to those, who were with us back then A toast to life, come on brother, until the end We'll remember those who were with us back then A toast to life, come on brother, until the ...
