A Loud Color (Original - 720p)

Louis Harding spent years trying to open an African-American community center in New Orleans. In 2005, he was finally able to offer his first summer program, then Hurricane Katrina struck and the center was destroyed. Despite the setback, 72-year-old Harding refuses to give up on his mission to combat poverty in New Orleans. While sorting through the debris of his life, Louis discusses the importance of history, heroes, and self-esteem in the Black community. He explains how life for African-Americans in New Orleans has changed in the last 50 years and why making his dream a reality is more important than ever before. Fan's have described Byron Timothy as the new voice for Gospel Music and predicted his debut album "Storms Of Life" a success. With a fresh anointed sound, and an intriguing outlook on life, this album will be cherished for years to come. From the time he begins to sing the intimacy and personal connection with his audience is apparent as the heartfelt songs that he performs. Byron's voice has been compared to the likes of Deitrick Haddon, Pastor William H. Murphy, John Legend, and Donnie Hathaway. Aside from singing Byron has also starred in stage plays with the Triune Productions Agency. To his credit he has starred in When A Man Loves A Woman, as well as Miracles. My name is Austin Wiggins. I am a student at Pepperell High School in Georgia. This is a video I did for my school. I took our school's Alma Mater and revamped it so that it would be a little more contemporary. After highschool, I plan to major in digital film production and editing at The Art Institute of Atlanta. I put this on YouTube in hopes that someone in the filming industry or from The Art Institute would notice me and see how much time and effort I put into my work.

Choreographer Juel Lane on LIFT

The Atlanta dancer and choreographer discusses the upcoming performance of LIFT and his piece in the show, along with rehearsal footage of his duet with Atlanta Ballet's Jamal Callender. LIFT presented by FOSTER/SLADE Saturday May 15th 2010 Woodruff Arts Center Hertz Stage 2pm and 8pm LIFT is a project conceived by Atlanta choreographer and professor Daryl L. Foster, and Redemption Dance Theater Artistic Director Terry Slade. The two combined to bring this project to fruition. The Project is based on LIFT, a work created by Daryl Foster in 2003 that focuses on escaping the gravity of a difficult situation.The project attempts to examine the many intricate folds of men, areas that frequently remain hidden. The project will bring together men from many parts of Atlanta, and feature them in ways many have not seen before. In addition the artistic vision rests on six pillars: Spirituality, Masculinity, Family, Sexuality, Community and Politics. Works will be created around these pillars. The choreography of Daryl L. Foster, Terry Slade, David Norwood, Juel Lane, Quincy Lamar, Timothy Jones, and guest choreographer Christopher Huggins.
