| On Thursday, July 8th The Cinema Arts Centre and the Long Island Gay and Lesbian Film Festival presented Breakfast at Tiffany's with guest speaker: Author SAM WASSON. This was his first book signing appearance for Fifth Avenue, 5 AM: Audrey Hepburn,Breakfast at Tiffany's, & the Dawn of the Modern Woman Sam Wasson studied Film at Wesleyan University and at the USC School of Cinematic Arts, where he received his Masters in Film Production. He is the author of A SPLURCH IN THE KISSER: THE MOVIES OF BLAKE EDWARDS and FIFTH AVENUE, 5AM: AUDREY HEPBURN, BREAKFAST AT TIFFANY'S, AND THE DAWN OF THE MODERN WOMAN as well as the forthcoming PAUL ON MAZURSKY (Wesleyan, 2011). Several of his essays have been collected in GEORGE LUCAS'S BLOCKBUSTING and KAZAN REVISITED (Wesleyan, 2010).
