Beautiful One, to my mind... Emīls Dārziņš (1875 - 1910) Latvian composer, conductor and music critic. His musical contribution is mainly to vocal music (17 choral and 18 solo songs), but he also composed orchestral music, though only one piece, Melanholiskais valsis (Melancholy Waltz) has survived. I remember reading somewhere that E.Dārziņš had Seen this composition in a violet haze beforehand he wrote it, that`s why here is heathbells... We started to drive home on Sunday's night, about 1:30. We were driving all night, at the morning we met fathers collegue and drove with him to Dessau, where he stayed for night.. but we couldn't stay with him... Than we met other fathers collegue in Mostki, Poland, and drove with him to home, with only two rests - one 45min and one 15min... it was hard.. there will be one more part!

"THE MICROPHONE" was an annual Latvian national song competition, which revealed the best songs selected by spectators voting. 15 years in a row (1968-1982) Raimonds Pauls's songs awarded the Best Song Of The Year title. Starting with 1983 the maestro did not nominate hisown songs for the competition to enable other composers to have a chance to win this title. So "Native Language" has been recognized by the best song of 1986. Music by AINARS VIRGA, lyrics by GRIGORY VIERU, translation by IMANTS ZIEDONIS. "МИКРОФОН" - латвийский национальный фестиваль, выявляющий лучшие песни года путём народного голосования. 15 лет подряд (1968-1982) титул лучшей песни года получали песни Раймонда Паулса. С 1983 года маэстро решил не выставлять свои песни на конкурс, чтобы дать возможность другим композиторам побороться за этот титул. Так скандальная и спорная на тот момент "Родная речь" была признана лучшей песней 1986 года. Музыка АЙНАРА ВИРГИ, слова ГРИГОРИЯ ВИЕРУ, перевод ИМАНТА ЗИЕДОНИСА.
