Locked Up Abroad PERU

Two teenage prom queens are promised a luxury holiday in Peru. Instead, they find themselves facing six years in one of the world's worst prisons. Jennifer Davis, a prom queen from a strict religious family in Illinois, is just 19 when she moves to California, dreaming of a modeling career. She meets 18 year old Krista Barnes on her first day there, and they instantly became best friends. They look forward to a fun-packed year living together in their Californian beach house, away from the overbearing presence of their strict dads for the first time (one was a prison warden, the other a police officer). They've only been roommates for three weeks when their landlord introduces them to a couple of good looking Peruvian lads who make them a life-changing proposition: an exotic, all-expense paid holiday to Peru in exchange for bringing back a bit of cocaine. The Peruvians assure the squeaky clean girls - who didn't have so much as a parking ticket between them - there is no chance of getting caught, and that they'd each receive US$5000 on their return. The girls think about it for a while, before agreeing. Setting out with guide books and sun-block, they couldn't imagine the nightmare ahead of them.

All the vessels in the range, which currently spans 90 to 125 feet, are designed by Dixon Yacht Design. The PY-100, as with all the yachts in the Performance range, is finished to the clients' own detailed individual requirements, and provides impressive high end cruising performance with five-star luxury below decks. The PY 100 is a low-profile, centre cockpit, fast luxury cruising yacht, built using the latest high-tech composite construction technology. Dixon Yacht Designs' naval architects have created a fast sleek hull shape which, at the same time, maintains superyacht volume proportions. The hull is formed in a foam core sandwich construction, with an inner skin of carbon fibre and an outer skin of Kevlar to provide even more strength and durability. Keel options include the lifting keel fitted to PY-100 #01 'Liara', which allows her to access shallower waters normally inaccessible to yachts of her size. The yachts sail power is provided by her tall 39-metre carbon fibre mast and ultra-light PBO shrouds and forestay from Southern Spars. It is a low weight solution which allows for a very high sail area/displacement ratio, while an integrated bowsprit ensures maximum efficiency from the asymmetric spinnakers and future proofs the yacht's sail plan; the power is harnessed by Harken's latest deck gear and winches making for greater speed and ease of ...

Islanders demand removal of Santorini "pollution time bomb"

People living on the iconic Greek island of Santorini are demanding that the wreck of the Sea Diamond cruise liner be removed from their waters. Two French tourists drowned after the luxury ship sank beneath Santorinis famous cliffs in April last year after the Captain mistakenly steered the ship onto rocks. The islanders regard her as a pollution time bomb after an underwater expedition discovered the restaurant was full of oil.
