The Dubai Fountain is a record-setting choreographed fountain system set on the 30-acre manmade Burj Khalifa Lake, at the center of the Downtown Dubai development in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It was designed by WET Design, the California-based company responsible for the fountains at the Bellagio Hotel Lake in Las Vegas. Illuminated by 6600 lights and 25 colored projectors, it is 275 m (902 ft) long and shoots water 150 m (490 ft) into the air (equivalent to a 50-story building), accompanied by a range of classical to contemporary Arabic and world music.[1] It was built at a cost of AED 800 million (USD 218 million). - From Wikipedia.

Dancing Fountain - The Dubai Mall

Set on the 30-acre Burj Khalifa Lake, the fountain shoots water jets as high as 500 ft (150 metres), equivalent to that of a 50-storey building. The fountain is 900 ft (275 metres) long and has five circles of varying sizes and two central arcs. It has been designed by California-based WET, the creators of the Fountains of Bellagio in Las Vegas. The Dubai Fountain performs daily, with the performance repertoire including Sama Dubai; Baba Yetu, an award-winning song in Swahili; the Arab world's top-selling dance number Shik Shak Shok; and the signature piece of world-renowned Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli, Con te partiro (Time to Say Goodbye). Over 6600 WET Superlights -- the most advanced incandescent large fountain lights available today -- and 25 colour projectors create a visual spectrum of over 1000 abstract attractions. The beam of light shining upward from the fountain can be seen from over 20 miles away, and will be visible from space making it the brightest spot in the Middle East, and quite possibly in the entire world.

The beam of light shining from The Dubai Fountain can be seen from more than 20 miles away and may even be visible from space, making it the brightest spot in the Middle East.

Dubai Fountain - 'Shik Shak Shok' HD

Aufgenommen im Dez. 2010 von der Terrasse des TGI-Fridays in der Dubai Mall. Die Dubai Fountain, die größte Wasserfontäne der Welt! Auf 275 Meter Länge präsentiert sich die Fountain. Die einzelnen Fontänen schießen permanent 100 000 Liter Wasser in die Luft. Die Höhe variiert zwischen 1 Meter und 150 Metern (dies entspricht der Höhe eines 50 stockigen Hochhauses!!). Das Wasser bewegt sich rhythmisch zu ausgesuchten Musiktiteln mit ca. 3 - 4 Minuten Länge. Rund 1000 einzelne Fontänen arbeiten gleichzeitig, begleitet von rund 6600 Lichtquellen und 50 Farbprojektoren.
