Naomi here with your Fix for Wednesday, August 17th. Nintendo lovers--we've got big announcements for you later on in the episode--so hang tight. First up, DOTA 2. Valve reconfirmed that they're still looking at a 2011 release at the earliest and 2012 at the latest. But if you just can't wait that long, then good news for you -- yesterday, Valve opened up Beta registration to the general public. Steam users who register for the beta should expect an invite shortly, with stress testing beginning a few weeks after Gamescom. For new footage of the game in action, head over to IGN. In other game release news, the Silent Hill HD Collection, previously announced as a PS3 exclusive, will now be heading to Xbox as well. Silent Hill Producer Tomm Hulett said at Konami's Gamescom Press Conference that in response to fan reaction, the collection will be seeing a simultaneous release on both systems sometime around September or October.
