| www.dynamoclub.se In Russian Martial Art, manipulating the joints is one of the ways to break the opponent's body structure and cause a cognitive gap, in order to seize the initiative after evading an attack. After breaking the structure it is pretty easy to either execute a takedown or insert strikes. In this training example, the pummeling drill from wrestling is used as a fluid environment from which to apply the joint manipulations, from every available relative position in the close range and continue with strikes. You can perform this drill in a slow and relaxed or in a hard and fast manner - just keep in mind that joint manipulations performed at full speed and power can cause injury. You can can always use the pummeling drill as a form of conditioning the way it is performed in wrestling, going only for the inside control, without attacking the joints. systema.goteborg@gmail.com http systemasweden.blogspot.com |
