Hope For Haiti Charity Single: The Edge Stranded (Haiti Mon Amour)-Jay-Z, U2 & Rihanna

Jay-Z, U2 and Rihanna got together in London to perform "Stranded (Haiti Mon Amour)" in front of an audience as part of the "Hope for Haiti Now: A Global Benefit for Earthquake Relief" telethon on Friday night (January 22). The mid-tempo track featured guitar by The Edge and messages of hope from Jay-Z, Rihanna and Bono. Along with Madonna's "Like a Prayer" and Wyclef Jean's finale, it was one of the most upbeat performance of the night. "My Port-au-Princes and Haitians gods/ All my princesses/ Our condolences as we fight against this," Jay rapped to open the record. "We right by your side/ While we trying to make sense of this/ Heavenly Father/ Help us see through these problems/ For those that's left/ Welcome them into your garden. "Let's get involved with 'em," Jay added in the first verse. "Hand in hand with 'em/ Arm and arm with 'em/ Till they get strong again." "When the sky falls and the earth quakes/ We gonna put this back together/ We won't break," the rap icon promised with a melodic delivery. In the second verse, Jay touched on Hurricane Katrina: "We learned from the past/ New Orleans was flooded/ So we know we just can't rely on the government." MaximsNewsNetwork: 25 October 2010 -- UN MINUSTAH: Port-au-Prince, Haiti -- The humanitarian community has mobilized its resources to help the Haitian Government respond to an outbreak of cholera in the western region of Caribbean country, with medical supplies being provided and teams of health workers rushing to the affected area; the cholera epidemic has been reported around Saint-Marc in the Artibonite region, far from the camps hosting hundreds of thousands of people who lost their homes following the devastating earthquake of 12 January this year. People living in Pont Sonde in the Artibonite region expressed fear saying that they do not know how to respond and control the spread of the disease. One resident said "we are in danger" with no "clean water to drink." According to the World Health Organization (WHO), there hasn't been an outbreak of cholera in Haiti in about a century. TheOffice for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) latest figures (24 October) are 254 dead and 3015 cases of cholera infection confirmed. WHO and Haiti's health ministry have also confirmed five cholera cases in Port-au-Prince, but the patients were people who got infected while visiting Artibonite before arriving in the capital. A statistician at the St Nicholas hospital in the region said that the hospital is in need of "more staff and more equipment to be able to treat all those people who need to be hospitalized." Heal The World: The Michael Jackson Tribute Video 1958-2009

This is the second half of my tribute video I made for Michael Jackson included in the video called "This Is It - Gone Too Soon. Heal The World: The Ultimate Michael Jackson Tribute 1958-2009". I have broken that video down into two parts to make it shorter for the people that don't like to watch longer videos to encourage people to watch this one moreso. The original video tells the overall story of Michael Jackson's passing away on June 25th, 2009 but this second half was also made intentionally to stand on its own as a tribute as well but to moreso focus on showing some of his last days events. This video uses part of the Jermaine Jackson press conference where he announces Michael Jackson as being dead, plus pictures of Michael Jackson throughout the years, an animation of him doing the moonwalk and dancing, fans mourning around the world of the news that The King Of Pop had died, scenes around his home in Los Angeles, pictures of his body being taken into the ambulance and his last death photo. On the eve of Michael Jackson's memorial at The Staples Center in Los Angeles one has to wonder if all this could have been prevented with all the investigations going on. Theos Work: Project Hope Orphanage / Sustainable Village in Haiti

Marc Boisvert in 1998 to support humanitarian efforts in southern Haiti. The primary focus of Theos Work Inc. (TWI) is to alleviate the devastating effects of poverty on children in Haiti. The children suggested Pwoje Espwa as a name for the project, which is Haitian Creole for Project Hope. Pwoje Espwa is a multi-faceted program serving the needs of over 1000 children in this impoverished nation. The non-sectarian project is supported by private donations and fundraising efforts. A sustainable village is being built in the countryside south of Les Cayes where children can live in a healthy environment, learn how to take care of animals, go to school, and eventually learn a trade when they get older. 100's of children are staying at the village and in the town so please DONATE to support this amazing ongoing work! www.freethekids.org
