Vardakyapuranam is a family movie about three friends,Omanakuttan Pillai, Cherian Thomas, Mahendran Thampi,each of them Govt. retired officials. Each of them wants their retired life to be respectful & happy. The story begins as Mahendran Thampi decides to start a drama company so as to fulfill his childhood dream. Omanakutaan Pillai & Cherian Thomas also agrees to be partners in it. Finally they start a theatre, "Thiruvathira Theaters". Mahendran Thampi's son Jaimohan objects his father's decision. The actors of the Thiruvathira Theaters lead to many other problems, adding a rich flavour to the film in a comic way. The film takes twist when theatre's lead actress Rajni's husband, Vyshakhan's, creates problems. Jaimohan has a soft corner for Rajni and is shocked to know that she is forcefully married to Vyshakhan. He fights for her rights creating more issues for "Thiruvathira Theaters" . Rest of the film revolves around the problems faced by Omanakuttan Pillai,Cherian Thomas, Mahendran Thampi to make their theatre a success.

Bhai (Nassar) is a notorious mafia don in city of Hyderabad. Pandu (Suman) is his right hand man. Ajay (Sumanth) is Pandu's son. Ajay is a studious guy who wants to become an IAS officer. He clears the civil services examination. Hussain (Subbaraju) is a cop whose mission is to eliminate the mafia gangs in Hyderabad. Though son and father share a great relationship, Ajay and Pandu fall out due to their difference of opinion. The rest of the story is all about how the system forces Ajay to tread the wrong path to do the right thing.
