Steak Au Poivre

Follow me to the Brasseries of France. French by design and name, the filet mignon - steak au poivre style. This is a lovely dish that is full of robust yet velvety flavor. The contrast of the rustic pepper and the silky taste and texture of beef tenderloin cannot be understated. Adding further soul and complexity to this dish is the green peppercorn sauce. Traditionally the sauce accompanying this dish contains cream and alcohol Any number of alcohols may be used in the sauces composition. I chose Cognac; however, one may use a ruby or burgundy port, or even a dry white wine. I deviated from tradition slightly by using shallots and and green peppercorns. The shallots offer additional sweetness while the green peppercorns impart a light and fresh, yet hardy flavor to the sauce. It's incredible. Though my sides were not traditional accompaniments to Steak Au Poivre (think peeled potatoes or pommes frites), I had a hankering for a twice-baked potato; and believe me when I say they were great. I know such a side seems heavy for a steak with a cream sauce served on it...but live a little, why don't ya? The caesar salad was prepared in a traditional method - with homemade dressing, croutons and a bit of fresh parmesan cheese - delicious. It's a fun dish to prepare. That's what's cookings all about! BTW, I know bred is properly spelled bread and crutons spelled croutons...remember the fun part. :)

In essence, the band is formed in 2002, even though the first song created under the name Adolf plays the jazz was created in 1998 (it's "Frank Zappa needs haircut", which was later included in the Muzzle the birds EP). 2005 marks the first official release, cognac or brandy ep. The style of music is influenced by the post-rock scene, albeit with some cinematic elements, which are made even more obvious through the use of samples or movie dialogues. Their music has always been distributed for free and this will always be the case for Adolf plays the jazz. You can download all our stuff from our site for free . Next, Muzzle the birds EP is released, which is a compilatons of previously unreleased songs written between 1998 and 2005 and in 2006 the first LP is released, titled Art Brokolo. It incorporates some heavier and more progressive elements, with an ever-present cinematic feel. During the same year, another compilation is released, featuring songs from all previous releases. Its title is Another slice ? and was handed out in the Red Sparowes concert in Athens that year. 2007 marks the release of Melt EP and day 4 | urban fiction part 1 which are both part of a tribute to life in the city, the latter being the first volume of a concept album, as suggested by its title.
