"there were some weather conditions downstream." balloon fiesta minute thumbnail 10:01 pm chief meteorologist, randy lefevre, says forecasting for america's challenge is a different ball game. he's forecasting cross country-- 3 days out. "looking at trying to get them a good distance, so they can have a fun race, but really focusing in on safety." the race has been pushed back three times this week. it's now set for friday morning -- but even that's not certain. "this year because of the incidents that have happened we are erring, even more so, or being more conservative on our launching and all that and that's one of the reasons for our delay." " |
