| The Looptroop Rockers are a Swedish hip-hop group. In terms of content, their songs mainly revolve around classic left-leaning social critique. Founded in 1991 by school buddies Promoe and DJ Embee, Cosmic joined a year later. Between 1996 and 2000, Looptroop released several EPs on their David vs. Goliath label. This makes them the first Swedish hip-hop to record and produce its own albums 100%. Looptroop released their debut album, "Modern Day City Symphony," in 2000, bringing considerable accolades from critics and fans alike. "The Struggle Continues" followed in 2002, and "Fort Europa" was released in 2005. In 2008, their fourth album, "Good Things," appeared under the band's new name of Looptroop Rockers. In July, the Swedish group played the splash! Festival on the Pouch Peninsula located near Leipzig, Germany.
