What I've found that works is focus your attention on moving with your team and always looking in the general direction of the opposite side building instead of up and down the street and underground. Having him on last year on the Drum & Bass channel with a huge genre-defying mix was impressive to say the least and now he returns with a mix produced live and on-the-spot. Mistabishi appears to be increasingly moving away from standard musical frameworks and creating sounds that are at odds with what is out there being made now. Mistabishi's current output gives me the eerily feelings of a society in which the global economic and social system of society failed and broke down terribly. His latest EP contains direct social critique on the current consumerist society and failure of the financial system with track titles such as "All The Things You Want But Don't Need". In the video for "Think Floyd" he plays a recording at the start of the track of a call-center agent trying to sell a sub-prime home loan over the phone while showing imagery of the total desolation of foreclosed homes still filled with personal belongings of people that have fled long since. Utilizing the Korg EMX, which is pretty much a box made for live music production which includes hardware synthesizers and a full sequencer for arrangement, Mistabishi teamed up with videographer and digital artist Mediapunk to create this intense blend of audiovisual social critique. ★CONNECT★ www.facebook ...
