| I have the feeling some playtester intern figured out "Hey, it's technically possible to finish in this time without changing anything" and they just set the timer at that without loosening up the programming to make it less of an ultra-precise endeavor. After spending many fives of minutes watching videos that appear to have been high school students photographically recording their television screens with their cell phone cameras, and some ample experimentation on my part, I'm pretty sure it's possible to get that third hit in without exploiting the "invincibility after damage" thing, but for the life of me I just couldn't hover right. Most of the fight is pretty straightforward, but that third hit is a doozy. You absolutely must jump on Mugly immediately after he begins to run if you want to finish in time, but if you're anywhere except against the wall behind him, he'll "skid" and wobble on over to the other side of the screen rather than turn orange then and there. The entire maneuver is incredibly tricky and if it is indeed a required tactic, I'm giving Retro a big fat F for stupidity. Target time is 0:37. |
