I'm Bridget Daly with your Glee-Cap from episode, "Extraordinary Merry Christmas." This was a tearjerker people! The episode opened with one of my fave holiday tunes, All I Want For Christmas Is You, led by Mercedes, who definitely gave Mariah a run for her money with her version! The scene then cut to Rachel, who presented Finn with a lengthy Christmas wish list, and he didn't seem too psyched on it. Sue Sylvester then had a sit down talk with some of the New Directions guys, getting them to commit to singing for the homeless at a shelter later that week—they agree, and are shocked to see such a sensitive side to Sue! Back in the Glee room, adorable exchange student Rory reveals his family doesn't have the funds to visit him this Christmas, so he'll be spending it alone, prompting him to sing the depressing tune Blue Christmas. The mood however is instantly brightened when Shu bursts in telling the kids they'll be starring in a Christmas Special to air on local TV! Will asks Artie to direct it, and everyone is super excited, until realizing ooops it's at the same time they promised Sue they'd volunteer at the shelter. The kids all agree, with the exception of Sam and Quinn, that the TV special trumps the shelter, and they move forward with their rehearsals. The TV special is a huge hit, taking place at Kurt and Blaine's home, with Rachel, Mercedes, Finn ... |
