Here's some information about the Dubai Fountain: www.thedubaimall.com Experience The Dubai Fountain Set on the 30-acre Burj Khalifa Lake, the fountain shoots water jets as high as 500 ft (150 metres), equivalent to that of a 50-storey building. The fountain is 900 ft (275 metres) long and has five circles of varying sizes and two central arcs. It has been designed by California-based WET, the creators of the Fountains of Bellagio in Las Vegas. The Dubai Fountain performs daily, with the performance repertoire including Sama Dubai; Baba Yetu, an award-winning song in Swahili; the Arab world's top-selling dance number Shik Shak Shok; and the signature piece of world-renowned Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli, Con te partiro (Time to Say Goodbye). Over 6600 WET Superlights -- the most advanced incandescent large fountain lights available today -- and 25 colour projectors create a visual spectrum of over 1000 abstract attractions. The beam of light shining upward from the fountain can be seen from over 20 miles away, and will be visible from space making it the brightest spot in the Middle East, and quite possibly in the entire world. Outside, and at a cost of Dh 800 million (US$217 million), a record-setting fountain system was designed by WET Design, the California-based company responsible for the fountains at the Bellagio Hotel Lake in Las Vegas. Illuminated by 6600 lights and 50 colored projectors, it is 275 m (900 ft) long and is shooting water 150 m (490 ft) into the air, accompanied by a range of classical to contemporary Arabic and world music.[39] On 26 October 2008 Emaar announced that based on results of a naming contest the fountain would be called the Dubai Fountain.

Burj Dubai Fountain - Ishtar Poetry

WET Design water feature, Burj Dubai Fountain located at the foot of the Burj Dubai tower, choreographed to the song, Ishtar Poetry. Principle designer, Claire Kahn, and I worked together programming this show in Dubai during the month of August, 2009. Thousands of lines of code control the animatronics. I shot the film from the control booth and layered the audio over it, so you can see reflections in the window. It's my favorite. Enjoy!

Aufgenommen im Dez. 2010 von der Terrasse des TGI-Fridays in der Dubai Mall. Die Dubai Fountain, die größte Wasserfontäne der Welt! Auf 275 Meter Länge präsentiert sich die Fountain. Die einzelnen Fontänen schießen permanent 100 000 Liter Wasser in die Luft. Die Höhe variiert zwischen 1 Meter und 150 Metern (dies entspricht der Höhe eines 50 stockigen Hochhauses!!). Das Wasser bewegt sich rhythmisch zu ausgesuchten Musiktiteln mit ca. 3 - 4 Minuten Länge. Rund 1000 einzelne Fontänen arbeiten gleichzeitig, begleitet von rund 6600 Lichtquellen und 50 Farbprojektoren.
