Meteor Hammer (Liu Xing Chui) / Rope Dart (Sheng Biao)

Used to practice Jiu Jie Bian techniques with a rope, I fell in love with "Sheng Biao / Liu Xing Chui" april 2010. It was recorded september 18. On this video I use a "Liu Xing Chui" (Meteor Hammer) which weight around 350 grams. From 0:51 to 2:58, I do18 movements from a Shaolin monk VCD. Don't know if it's a form 'cause he teaches 18 moves but never perform them. I guessed the transitions... Then, after the elbow throw, I do another move shown on the VCD which is done after the last movement. (Double back wrap + kick exit) And I practice "Snake coils around the pillarS". I've not seen on the net the triple leg wrap... Simple though. I've been practicing for 6 months and this is my first video. I use it to correct myself so I now know I'm doing a "weird shoulder move" during my neck wrap and a lot more... LOL Also, I captured this with my cheap photo camera and tried my best with free video softwares. Have fun and peace to every martial artist ! Rope Dart (Sheng Biao) / Meteor Hammer (Liu Xing Chui)

I used to practice Jiu Jie Bian with a rope. It's a basic demo followed by Sheng Biao holding on me with a knot Sifu Ng Kwok Cheung shows here on YouTube. Recorded september 20 with a dart around 230 grams. "Loose the rope just before throw" 0:36 LOL "Fairy take off the cloth" 0:40 "Under the leg throw + Elbow wrap" 0:46 "Monk stops time" Kind of my creation i think but no combat use. Like the 17th movement (with the tooth), on the first video, it best suits strenghtening control, balance and coordination. 0:59 "Double elbow throw" 1:16 "Cross-body wrap" ... over left shoulder 1:30 "Cross-body wrap" ... over right shoulder 1:56 Hope you also enjoy an edit of "Autumn's freezing harmony" on Progressive Darkness from Moonlyght.
