Antonov An225 Mriya

O An-225 Mriyaé a maior aeronave de asa fixa do mundo. Chamado pela OTAN de 'Cossack') é uma aeronave de transporte cargueiro estratégico, sendo construída pela Antonov Design Bureau, empresa russa que fabrica aeronaves. O design, construído para transportar a nave espacial Buran, e foi um desenvolvimento de aumentar o bem-sucedido An-124 Ruslan.Mriya (Мрiя) significa "Sonho" (Inspiração) em Russo. O Antonov An-225 é disponível comercialmente para transportar cargas enormes, devido ao tamanho único de seu compartimento de carga. Para se ter noção de seu tamanho, ele comportaria, facilmente, mais de mil e quinhentas pessoas. Além disso, ele pode, como já foi mencionado, transportar cargas na parte externa e superior da fuselagem. É necessário, apenas, que essa carga tenha um mínimo de aerodinâmica. Antonov 225 Landing in Fairbanks, Alaska

The Antonov 225, the world's largest airplane (that actually flies), lands in Fairbanks, Alaska on 2/9/10 for refueling while on a flight to deliver disaster relief supplies from Japan to Haiti. This plane was built to transport the Soviet Union's "Buran" space shuttle. The Buran is long gone but now you can rent the 225 to transport large cargo.
