This is one of my all time favorite songs in this genre and it holds a special place in my heart, as it tells the story of the last few months of my dear grandparents' life... That being said, I would like to dedicate this song to them. :) My grandparents, Jesus and Guadalupe (Chuy and Lupita) Villarreal shared a beautiful life together and raised a lovely family of 9 children, my dad being the youngest. Their love was pure, strong, and genuine. Nothing could keep them apart. ...My grandfather passed away in the Fall of 2006, after many months of being very ill. ...My grandmother joined him three months later, January of 2007. Abuelita Lupita and Abuelito Chuy, you are dearly missed. Memories of your love for each other and for us, your family, will forever remain in our hearts. Thank you for everything.
