Until now he created 20 pieces of violins of different sizes, colors and shapes. He makes them usually from yew, maple or linden tree wood. Finishing one instrument takes several months. "This violin is visually done as a shuttle," Bari says. "I was inspired by Star Trek doing it and I did prepare this shape of the violin." Ludovit Bari likes wood as a natural material with a heart and preparing his violins he was, as well as the classical violin makers, inspired by women body. "All this is only a repeating or visualization of women shape and curves in principle," Bari says. "These are the studied shapes of the woman. When you realize how beautiful these curves are and how pretty and hidden these shapes are, than you can only take a piece of wood or other material -- sculptors are using clay or stone or wood. I decided to transfer the greatness of the classical instruments into my own shape, which is much more open and less hidden, than the classical instruments are." Bari plans to exhibit his violins as well as other wooden sculptures and paintings in Dox Gallery in Prague.
