London on Fire: Video of Tottenham anti-police riots, bus blaze

Follow us on twitter.com and www.facebook.com Latest updates say 26 police officers have been injured and 43 people arrested as violent riots flared up in north London. Two patrol cars, a building and a double-decker bus were torched as rioters clashed with officers on Saturday in front of the Tottenham Police Station, where people had gathered to demand "justice" for the death of a man identified locally as Mark Duggan, a 29-year-old father of four, killed in an apparent gunfight. More than 300 were involved in what began as a march to demand justice for the killing.

Police shooting sparks London riots

London police say they have regained control of the streets Tottenham after a protest turned violent in the North London neighbourhood. Clashes broke out between police and crowds angry at the shooting dead of a local resident by officers. Al Jazeera's Liz Dunkerley reports.

London's Shard divides opinions and skyline

London's skyline has a new and controversial addition that is also Europe's tallest building. The Shard is a 300-metre-high structure resembling a church spire and is due to be completed in time for this year's Olympics in London. But the mega-structure is finding itself the object of some piercing criticisms. Al Jazeera's Laurence Lee reports from London.
