I remember when I watched this on HBO years ago when it first premiered. I fell in love with it. I can see why most people don't like it. Mainly because they have different opinions on music and another reason is because of their stupidity. But this movie is amazing, it makes soooo much sense if you really pay attention It has much meaning and is perfect.

Well, actually, there's is and old quote that says that all living things are connected actually from mother, father, son, brother or sister. Scientifically speaking, it was somehow possible for him to "hear" the music of his mother and father, so I wouldn't say it is an fictional movie (there's no "fantasy" tag in there either) And in the other hand, excellent movie, one of the best I have ever seen that explains the truth about the (TRUE) music, I mean, the one created by the hand, not the CPU

I for one love this movie. It was exceptionally good in my opinion because it showed the beauty of music, how its all around us and within us all. The music in the movie with August Rush was different than music that some people take for granted today. August took the music in the movie and made it real, he made it magical... something i think personally is hard to find in music today.

I don't know what people are talking about I really Like The Ending of this Movie!! This was probably the only movie I actually enjoyed out of the entire last decade!! I'm so freaking sick of arrogant critics and directors that think anything that has human feelings and emotions with a joyful happy ending is some how cheesy and cliche...Frankly I'm tired of how dry, stuffy, inhuman and cynical movies have gotten now days!! August Rush was a Much Needed Relief from that!! Great Movie!!

What, you guys wanted to see the obvious ending that mommy daddy and son went back together? That wasn't the point of the movie. The point was that music brings people together. The kid wanted his parents to hear his music and find him through his music. It's obvious that they went back together. If they shot those scenes too the whole point of the movie would be gone. It couldn't have had a better ending than this.
