I'd refer to the bullet not as "poisonous", but rather as a "shredder". A combat mate of my former teacher served in Chechnia and was shot in the arm with that bullet from AK just below the shoulder. That bullet practically amputated his arm: bone was shattered into little pieces and there was not much flesh left to connect the arm with the body. Despite the fact that he was in the field hospital in minutes, they had to amputate his arm.
