As far as I know (and I could be wrong) it still needs a form of OS to also run the browser, and I'm pretty sure that's a very light Linux distro, so you would still get local storage although you would use the browser most of the time. After all, you have to have somewhere to store all those pictures you find with Chrome right ;)
