But, we stayed together 3yrs, If a woman don't have self respect/worth,You can't instill it in her ! I Can't call a woman a HO or a BITCH, I wasn't raise that way ! Our society has changed where some women except being called out of her name !! I'm so proud my niece was brought up having self respect & worth !! It's madness man. My grandparents were married for 54 years until my grandmother's death. She passed with my grandfather holding her hand. Those, like you, are the old school values I was taught since I was a child. It only takes a second to be a gentleman. Hopefully one day men can get back to the power of courtship and real love without expecting anything in return.

i feel the same way...its really sad...most, but not all, ladies today dont respect themselves anymore so in turn they dont expect much respect from men...its the tragedy of todays society...when i was growing up it was always ladies first, hold the door open for them, and pull their chair out for them..now women give me funny looks when i try to do things like that for them..so sad..

If men would begin ...
If men would begin showing respect for women, then women would become accustomed to romance, respect and value, and begin demanding it. When I was growing up if a woman was called a "B" or a ho that was cause for a beat down because women weren't used to it. Men need to respect women, learn the art of courtship, love, romance, and even seduction. You had to earn love, now love is gone, replaced by quickies.

I'm glad TROOP didn't mess up the song completely, however, the ORIGINAL version (by The Jackson 5, from their last Motown album in 1975) is the best one - EVER. I didn't know that other versions of this song came out since TROOP recorded theirs. Hmm....how interesting.
