I visited London ...
I visited London once. It was very foggy and everyone travelled in carriages. I watched a Shakespeare play at The Globe & saw the beheading of Charles I. There was a big fire that I helped to extinquish. Everyone was living in fear of Jack the Ripper & German bombs. I attended a reading by Charles Dickins & visted Sherlock Holmes over my missing girlfriend. I watched some bears being baited & visited an opium den. I watched in awe a Roman legion march through the city. Magical London.

Like lots of cities, it's great if you've got loads of money, but it can be an absolute hell whole; rush hour on the subway or tube is so bad stations get closed because they so packed with people you're in danger of getting pushed onto the tracks. Train after train arrives so packed you cant get on one - and they're swelteringly hot too and yes; there's no lack of crime.
