(Without trying to start a fight) Do you think there is a single unified community on Youtube? A quote from wiki says, "A group of interacting people..." Do you regularly interact with the people who use youtube for strictly tutorials? the people who just listen to songs? There's no single unified community in which every member communicates, but instead a collection of disassociated media. (Again, I'm starting a debate, and not a fight. =] )

@ASSYRIANLEGEND Why do u hate steam? I find it very convient and easy to use and I have never had a problem with it. It does have some issues like being unable to play games unless they are fully updated but this is just a small inconvience I'm my opinion. Not a fanboy just curious

:P I'm not sure for everyone else, though the value being in steam and like services, is *for me at-least* I do not have to worry about losing a install key, physical disc, or worry about DRM methods that harm computers and game performance. In short steam is a positive step in digital gaming, though it does have ways to go in some areas.

Can someone explain to me why "steam" is such a big issue? what are the beneifts of steam if there are any benefits at all? i hate steam with a passion and dont see a reason why its such a big deal.
