It's a good exhibition piece, tourists, kids, retired, and layabouts would love it, but people commuting to and from work, who are the majority users are more interested in quick journey, especially when your are making that commute back and forward 5 days per week.

Interesting concept but it is fundamentally flawed and will never work. Everybody will try it a few times for fun, but then people will just see the stairs again. Kids will want to play on them, but most parents will escort their kids to the escalator in order to get on with the journey

Not really, Mr. Genius. The video states 66% MORE THAN normal. As in, if normally 30 out of 100 people would take the stairs, now it would be 50 out of a 100 people. 20 = 66% of 30, so 66% more than normal = 30 (normal) + 20 (66% of 30).
