Finally some1 who understands what I am saying and making it more clear :)

So warriors have no ...

So warriors have no honor? What about the Knights Crusaders? What about the Soldiers who fought for the american freedom around the year of 1875? And what about the damn soldiers in Afghanistan, who are giving their lives to keep the rest of world save from terrorist attacks like 9/11. Do Those guyz have no honor either cause they are warriors and soldiers? I think they desireve more of your respect

After all those ...

After all those reactions to my reaction to this video I find the last 3 the most interresting and make the most sense. You guyz are right but I think most of you still confuse samurai too much with ninja's and (silly name, but they do excist) Ninja-samurai's. They had no rules, and did everything that their lord asked. But there is also a differance in wich time each samurai lived. The samurai's in the years around 1700 to 1900 are way differant than the ones in the Shogun time Thx 4 reactions

doesn't it break ...

doesn't it break some code of bushido to attack a defenseless enemy with no weapon? I know that samurai are feverishly loyal to their lords but... if given an unethical order: like kill your whole family (when for example the lord was guilty of illegal activities and wanted to cover it up by killing any witnesses) why would a samurai choose blind devotion of an unethical order when the lord is doing unhonorable activities/in the wrong? it'd be more honorable to kill the lord than the innocents

Thank you! Finally ...

Thank you! Finally somone else in this world who gets what the Samurai were all about.

what movie does ...

what movie does this fight scene come from?

Ninjas are a ...

Ninjas are a special type of warrior, not samurai. They do what Samurai shld not, in secrecy. Samurai values honor and will announce to the world that they killed the enemy. They are supposed to be "role models" for the lower class. However, reality isn't that simple. one can be both samurai and shinobi like Hattori Hanzo. If you still insist that samurai and ninja are the same, I can also argue that most Samurai are Bureacrat in Tokugawa era, not warriors.

You obviously don't ...

You obviously don't understand Japanese morals and honor. To the samurai, honor is about obligation. He swore allegiance to his lord and served him. He would do ANYTHING his lord told him to, and would believe it a sin not to. A Samurai would kill his own wife and kids if his lord told him to; he wouldn't like it, he would morn, and would probably hate his lord; but he would still do it. The Samurais sense of write and wrong was secondary to obedience.

Wow, all that blood ...

Wow, all that blood spraying everywhere and it somehow stayed off him and his sword.

What exactly do you ...

What exactly do you think Samurai did? The fact that nobody can defeat him doesn't mean it's not "honorable". Samurai were good and bad people, many of them were corrupt, and many of them were cruel. Zatoichi is a great film that paints a gritty, slightly negative view of samurai, rather than some romanticized bullshit.

Zatoichi (2003) by Takeshi Kitano

I think you got ...

I think you got this ass backwards man, each man came at him one at a time, he slew each one that came it him. What is an honorable fight to you? Two homosexuals slapping eachothers dongs on their faces until they laugh, become lovers, and find peace. Seriously man once you point your sword or gun at someone it's kill or be killed, simple.

Seriously dude you ...

Seriously dude you don't know what the fuck your talking about. The tenants of a Samurai is to follow and obey his master without question, honor and chivalry came second, but above all the master was the most essential benefactor of the Samurai, even the meaning of Samurai is "to serve". So i'm just letting you know before this guy shreds your arguement to pieces. Also the uploader was right, many samurai didn't value Bushido at all. Most of them were just bullies and murderers.

It was very kind of ...

It was very kind of his opponents to rush at him one at a time.

LOL!!!!!!!!!!! ...

LOL!!!!!!!!!!! Dude you have no idea what honor is.

If i said this way ...

If i said this way is because i studied it. The dumbass here is only you.

You said "Ninja ...

You said "Ninja were special samurai that used esotheric practices and had special abilities." Dude you still in your fantasy world? They are hired assassins and agents of sabotage etc. They are not samurais you dumb fuck. I shall put this argument to an end here, fighting in the internet is retarded.

I thought the old ...

I thought the old one is the srongest !!

holy crap what ...

holy crap what movie is this?

This samurai is a ...

This samurai is a Bodyguard of a lord. He kills these people because his master ordered him to. Samurai were warriors, warriors killed people. Bushido is like a religion. Everyman tells to be Christian but only a few are very christians. Samurai cares a few of bushido. They were warriors. This is the end. About Ninja... They were not the fantasy black man, this is not history. Ninja were special samurai that used esotheric practices and had special abilities. Stop saying sillies please

Those who killed ...

Those who killed people with or without honor are ninjas. Samurai had a very strict code of honor and respect. They dont go around killing people without sense. But in this show, maybe these warriors only kill for fame and wealth.

There is different ...

There is different kind of warriors. Some of them kill, others not...the death as an act of taking a life do not make the warrior...but accepting the death as an end of your duty in this life... Yamamoto Tsunetomo was a samurai, and after that, a monk. In the translation of the Hagakure, they explain the position of Yamamoto Tsunetomo: a samurai that never had a duel. Life and death are part of the existence itself...Btw, good scene of this movie.
