looks fast. wonder how wrc racers would fare in similar cars. I bet s.loeb would smash that time, looks mostly tarmac and really nobody can match loeb on tarmac, at least in a rally car.

ok Let me ask you. ...

ok Let me ask you. I f you have a 6-speed sequential gearbox car (wrc car rules) and you hear 6 left (means open curve that allows you to go almost full speed as you said) which gear is best to use? And then you hear 1 right (means you almost have to put the hand brake and then go to the opposite direction as you also said) which gear selection is ideal for you on this one?

pastrana explains ...

pastrana explains that the numbers are a system for intensity of the curves, 6 means you have an open curve that allows you to go almost full speed, when 1 means you almost have to put the hand brake and then go to the opposite direction

What do you use for ...

What do you use for Dirt? Wheel or joystick? I also learned a lot by watching on-board! I apply the techniques by playing video games (dirt & wrc). It's very interesting to watch the best drivers on their favorite surfaces (Loeb/Sordo on asphalt, Hirvonen/Latvala on snow and gravel). Each driver has different style and techniques). It's very important to adapt your style and techniques on each surface to be a complete driver (Like Loeb, Grönholm, Mäkinen, Sainz ect).

I learned alot of ...

I learned alot of this by playing dirt, but its alot more fun and interesting watching it. Cant wait till i finish school, this is on my to do early bucket list.

Anyone notice the focus in TP's eyes @ about :57 ... and that's why he is win.

he says attention 2 ...

he says attention 2 times becouse he know travis would probably just ignore him if he would say it just once

and then Brit David ...

and then Brit David Higgins comes and does the hillclimb for Subaru USA in 2011, does it without a co-driver (as regulations specify to set a valid record). Not only does he beat the original record, but trounces this by 10 odd seconds without a co-driver. David Higgins is a total boss. Watch it here... watch?v=s4TmKodpqx8 ... who knows, with a co-driver, maybe 20+ seconds faster than Pastrana :P
