Your story about the snake being a holy figure in both religions because of an overlap in religions, is just as backward as claiming a brain looks like a computer. People have concepts, these ideas are always based on the world around us. These things overlap because the storytellers of both religions saw the same amazing animals in their surroundings and made up a story about them. 4 is illogical. Whether they were sacrificing or not has no relevance to the accuracy of the calendar and it's ramifications. However, the evidence does point to it not being an end of the world, but rather an event that will drastically change this planet and humanity as we know it. There are already major evolutionary changes in the last few generations documented and proven by science. What's causing it? You'll see. :)

If you notice, ads ...
If you notice, ads will play before normal youtube videos if you watch several in a row, so it's not that PBS is necessarilly benefiting from the ads (who cares if they are anyways, the ads profits would simply go to fund more programming that is broadcast for free on the air anyways), but mostly covering youtube's bandwidth costs (probably with profit, too, but you're not paying youtube, so again, who cares, the service is free, like PBS).
