The advanced template for Live leaves the bottom row of rotary controls and the row of buttons above available for MIDI mapping. You can assign these buttons to parameters/functions using Live's MIDI map mode. This is activated by pressing the button labelled 'MIDI' in the top right-hand corner of Live. I've been a long time fan and user of this unit since it came out. I love it. Watching this video again though, I always wondered how he switched tracks and recorded new clips without touching the laptop. Is there something I'm missing? I get out he can switch the Record Arms, but how to record new clips on the fly like that?

You can do anything on this bad boy... I got this, the Maschine, a launch pad, and I combined them, and I don't need any other piece of equipment....although more software and stuff would be cool, but not completely necessary.
