If you want to know about socialism and communism, the works of Marx, Engels, Lenin, Trotsky, Luxemburg, etc are in most libraries. There are also great resources on the internet (marxists.org) We engage people all the time, but we tend to do it in person at marches and demos. For example, a couple weeks ago, we helped liberate a foreclosed home for the woman who lived in it. Before that, we were on the picket line of a teacher strike. We reach a lot of people and it's fun too.
