So is "Fargo" a horror movie?? I've never seen it before.
Many of you will ...
Many of you will not like this but, coming from a "cop" family, the roles you see in this clip have been TOTALLY reversed over the past 20 + years. Now the cop would be the villain and the guy stuffing an innocent victim into the chipper would be the "cop". Police and military now protect high level government & corporate criminals, collect extortion money FOR the wealthy and do "hits" on those that don't .....comply - nothing more than mafia style thugs or "goons".
It's disturbing cos ...
It's disturbing cos it's based on a true story :S
Tarantino is not ...
Tarantino is not Jewish. And there's NO WAY Tarantino makes better films than the Coens.
What I thought ...
What I thought would happen: In the end, the heroine would end up in an intense stand off with the psychopath. It would look like he was about to shoot her, when she'd just barely get him and save herself at the last instant, a nail biting end! What actually happened: She gets the drop on him, and has to shout to get his attention. He throws a block of wood at her, completelyi ineffectual, and runs, and she carefully wings him and takes him in, at no point in any danger. I love this film!

yeah but you gotta ...
yeah but you gotta admit this scene is pretty funny, i mean he's shoving his buddy in a woodchopper and his dorky feet sticking out with his socks looks ridiculous. Its a black comedy, with serious scenes like you referenced. I agree that scene was pretty disturbing even though it was implied not shown.
@COloves from your ...
@COloves from your profile it seems you probably give them way too much credit because of the Jewish crap. Talking about film here, and these guys get tons of undeserved awards over much better storytellers from a Jewish dominated Hollywood btw...I'm not saying the movies aren't entertaining but they are average...if you must blindly support based off Jewish heritage; Spielberg, Tarantino...better choices.
What do you mean? ...
What do you mean? The reason I can watch a film and instantly know it is a Coen Brothers film is because of their unique style. Every one of their films is well developed and is enjoyable, and they all don't have to have deep meanings to be good films. They really put their heart into their movies, especially A Serious Man, which was all based on their Jewish heritage. They have real passion for film making and it shows in their movies. I really admire their work, it's incredible.

Granted, the Coehn ...
Granted, the Coehn brothers put so much into quirky character development and scenes that it comes at the expense of plot development, but I still find their films enjoyable.

IS THAT YER BUDDY YER PUTTIN IN THE WOODCHIPPER DERE? COEHN BROS FTW. THINK I WILL WATCH BLOOD SIMPLE TONIGHT
The Coen Bros are ...
The Coen Bros are sooo overrated. Their films are mediocre and people see way too far into them. Great filmmakers, whether you care for them or not, have a unique feel to their films like the overblown commentary of Tarantino or the dark, warped, vertically-stretched art of Tim Burton...but the Coen Bros, Hollywood needs to get over it, seriously look at the talented actors they work with. I personally enjoy their films, but they don't deserve all those awards for average production.
