it is a definite to human because their loading rate varies, some load faster some load slower but key is that they all tend to load slower when a tank is mobile. although a tank loader load slower than naval gun but it is alot more compact, u probably seen a navel loading mechanism, they are HUGE! how can u fit inside a tank when it is only around 2 meter tall?

it would not be a tactical advantage unless you get a tank autoloader that can set up rates of fire equal to naval autoloading cannons and a top notch FCS that can acquire and engage multiple targets at once. other then that the advantages of an autoloader are more logistical (you can field smaller crews).

pros and cons to both approaches... an autoloader is a piece of equipment that is mechanically complex and mission critical to a tank, and cannot be easily replaced. a loader is an extra set of eyes and crew that can help maintain, look out for and take care of a tank. you get a slightly higher rate of fire with an autoloader (but in practice this isn't as practical as having good fire control) and your tank can be somewhat smaller. but all in all, it depends on what rocks your boat.
