anybody who says Laettner should have been disqualified obviously doesn't know their basketball rules. the ONLY call that the referee could have made was the Unsportsmanlike Foul (grade 1)... because no blood resulted from the incident. If it did, then the grade 2 upgrade (which would have seen Laettner thrown out) would have been appropriate. AND ANOTHER THING... if the game was actually called correctly, then the miracle wouldn't have happened.

Yes and thats how i meant to say it. As a diehard UK fan i am programmed to not like Coach K lol. But i can separate that from the reality that Coach K is as good a coach as anyone and better than most. I just wouldnt say he is THE best but one of the best.

Since Cal has been at UK (and UK's name helps) he has gotten the #1 recruiting class either 3 of the 4 years or all 4 years (not sure which). He also got the #1 player all 4 years. So he's already proved he can out recruit Coach K while at UK. I cant say there's a better coach than Coach K for sure but he definitely doesnt blow all coaches out of the water. That's an insult to other great coaches. There are some that i would rank at the top with him.

No matter what players or coaches are there it's still a rivalry between the 2 schools. I give Coach K all the respect in the world.
