There was never a Soviet Empire. It was the Union of Socialist Soviet Republics, a federation of states cooperating for the greater good. An Empire simply ruled from the center for the benefit of the people at the top, but a Union rules from the middle for the benefit of people on both sides.

The Romanovs would've had nothing to gain from a capitalist republic (except the fact they could visit Russia again), so their view would've probably been neutral. Sure, if Kerensky's provisional government had resisted Red october, they would have loved it, but now it wouldn't
